Sidebar: If Apple was so great...

...then they wouldn't require us to hold down the Control key in addition to the Command (Apple)-Shirt-4 while clicking the bull's eye to store an simple screen print on the clipboard!!! Frustrating...I have to do a Google search on "how to print screen on mac"!

What's up with this? I would love to see Steve Jobs' response to someone asking him about this. Or, why doesn't Microsoft take advantage of this and show artsy types having to revert to a Windows system when doing a presentation.

Recently, I was in a meeting with a well respective creative agency where 4 creative designers were sooo frustrated with their Mac when they could get it to work with the LCD projector! It was hilarious!

Anyways...it simply begs the question...Why hasn't Apple added a "Print Screen" button to the keyboard? Are 12 useless function keys really that important to help our productivity??

Is My Yahoo's lack of customer productivity consideration the beginning of its end?

This kind of productivity experience is simply unacceptable...it shows the customer how much they really care about you and the value of your time. I'm trying to log into My Yahoo!

See the My Yahoo button on the Yahoo homepage?? Well...how many clicks do you think it will take me to log in to their My Yahoo! Portal? ...keep reading!

...ok, check this out:

Well, I'm not quite there yet. I first must choose between the two Sign In options!! Which one would you choose? Do they give the same response? Will one let me sign in now?
...I'm getting bored. ...and I'm beginning to wonder if Google has a portal.

Hmm...FINALLY!
Why on Google's Earth wouldn't they SIMPLY allow us to sign-in on the landing page: www.yahoo.com?
How would you rate this productivity experience? Do you have other suggestions on how productivity could be improved?

Adsense setup process - Is this a productive experience?

Remember...I'm a novice here - what do you think? Where will this email thread go from here? What would you expect? How could the productivity improve? Hint: I've hilighted a key element in their post. What do you think their reply said?

Hi - I'm new to adsense and blogger. I received this email and was wondering if I'm doing something wrong.

My blogger account was merged with beta.blogger.com.

I logged into my blog and edited the page elements. I added a page element to the bottom and a page element to the top right. When I preview the page, only the last Adsense page element that I added shows up (upper right). The ad says "Make your donation today - Help Rebuild Lives & Communities..." Is this a standard test ad? I read the info on the PSA link provided, but it seemed like it could be due to a lot of things...it was confusing.

Do I only get one adsense page element per page?

Thanks for any help!
Ken

Productivity Experience replaces User Experience

Ken Ohcs coins the phrase Productivity Experience and User Productivity Experience (UXP) in April 2006. What is it?

User experience design has evolved. It's been decades since we've had UX designers and they've helped bring the web to where it is today. BUT, these UX designed sites haven't evolved like the rest of the web.

What's missing? Well, it's Return on Investment (ROI). And how can we evolve UX? Simple... The evolution is from User Experience to Productivity Experience.

So, as we had user experience designers that helped us get to where we are today, we will soon experience a transformation to PRODUCTIVITY DESIGNERS. You will see this in portals, web 2.0 sites, etc. The concept involves user centric design (all the great principles of UX), but now with User Productivity Exerience (UPX).

This blog will focus on the User Productivity Experience (UXP) and advances that I see in the emerging technologies space that I feel can contribute to user productivity.

I hope this can become a forum or at least a stop on your way to enhancing productivity for you, others, employees of your company, etc.

Thanks and good luck!
